South Africa's strength lies in the rich diversity of the socio-economic, religious and cultural backgrounds of its people. Cognisant of this fact, we exchange knowledge and resources together with our partner schools in disadvantaged areas. This partnership promotes mutual understanding, acceptance and empowerment, and helps to transcend the differences in cultural, religious and ethnic backgrounds.
The King David Schools' Foundation Outreach programmes involve the mentorship and tutorship of learners from disadvantaged schools by teachers and learners from all the various King David schools. Learners and teachers from these disadvantaged schools are transported to the various King David Campuses and provided with tutoring and mentoring together with a meal, which is often their first proper meal of the day. The various fundraising initiatives of the KDSF and generous donations from corporate sponsors have enabled us to ensure that our Outreach Programmes remain sustainable.
Participating children from the King David schools and partner schools have lots of fun together improving weak academic areas, dancing, singing, debating, reading, playing sport, going on outings, and doing much more.
We have also recently extended our Outreach Programme to include teacher training. Collections of books, toys, games, clothes and food for deserving partner schools are ongoing and play integral parts of King David life.
Your donation can help us maintain and expand our Outreach Programme to include life skills, anti-drug awareness, HIV/Aids awareness, career counselling and more.

Our partnerships enjoy much success. One of the Eastbank learners, Steven Tapala, was able to receive a bursary to study at King Edwards VII High school, through a generous donation facilitated by the King David Schools' Foundation.
The following is an extract from a thank you letter sent by Steven to Executive Director, Elliot Wolf:
"...All my life, through its ups and downs, did I watch closely to my future, or may I say my dreams, I saw them sinking in black waters and I could not do anything about it because there was no-one to nourish them...your kindness and your generosity has awoken my dreams within the black waters into a reality. You have given me a chance, a chance to dream as a human being...this moment, I am filled with tears of joy within me...I have never in my life seen such kindness and goodness in the world. This day and always I will have 'hatikvah' to continue even though it's hard..."
