• Brett Levy, who matriculated from King David High School Linksfield in 1992, and who, together with brother Marc, established the Pre-Paid Company which has grown into a R12 billion per year juggernaut with 36 subsidiaries in the space of six years (Mail and Gauardian Online, September 2007). Brett and Marc, Deputy Chairman and CEO respectively of Blue Label Investments, were awarded the ABSA Jewish Business Achievers Award in 2007.
  
  
• Dr. Max Price, who matriculated from King David High School Victory Park in 1972 and is the Vice-Chancellor of the University of Cape Town. After matriculating, he was awarded a Rhodes scholarship to study medicine. He served as the Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences at the University of the Witwatersrand for ten years, prior to being chosen as the VC-designate of UCT.
  
  
• Professor Jeffrey Koseff, who matriculated from King David High School Linksfield in 1971, received the Honourable Mention for the Teacher of the Year Award at Stanford University in 2007.
  
  Jeffrey is the Director of the Woods Institute for the Environment at Stanford University and has been on the faculty there since 1984. In 2006, he was appointed as the William Alden and Martha Campbell Professor of Civil and Environmental Engineering as well as the Michael Forman University Fellow in Undergraduate Education. Jeffrey's research focuses on the interaction between physical and biological systems in natural aquatic environments, and he has undertaken research projects around the world including California, Israel, Australia and Hawaii. Jeffrey's work has led him to become a highly respected authority on environmental affairs. In 2005, the Woods Institute hosted a talk given by Al Gore about global warming, which was the basis for the movie "An Inconvenient Truth".
  
  According to an article in the Stanford Daily, recipients of the 2007 Teacher of the Year award were chosen by a panel of students, and Jeffrey in particular, was singled out for his "commitment and dedication to the general student body and for his willingness to help students tackle sustainability efforts".
  
  
• Dr. Shane Dorfman, who matriculated from King David High School Victory Park in 1992, and was crowned Karate World Federation (KWF) World Karate Grand Champion in 2007. Shane has won this title on two previous separate occasions, and has also won eight individual karate world titles. In 1998 Shane qualified as a medical doctor, cum laude, from the University of the Witwatersrand, and in 2004, qualified with a Master's Degree in Business Administration, cum laude, form Wits Business School.
  
  
• Dr. Linda Friedland, who matriculated from King David High School Linksfield  and who is a medical doctor, author, international conference speaker, radio and television personality and women's and executive health consultant. She launched her second book in March 2008, entitled "Having it All". Linda is married and is a mother of 5.
  
  
• Shaun Rubenstein, who matriculated from King David High School Linksfield in 2001, and was crowned Canoe Marathon World Champion in 2006, and is our Olympic medallist hopeful for the 2008 Beijing Olympics.
  
  
• Genna Lewis, who matriculated from King David High School Linksfield in 1998, and has directed numerous theatrical productions, such as Fiddler on the Roof, Diva, Greig Coetzee's Johnny Boskak is Feeling Funny (winner of a Fringe First Award at theEdinburgh Festival in 2006). She also co-wrote and directed the South African musical, Soweto Story. Genna obtained a BA (Hons) in Dramatic Art from the South African School of Film, Television and Dramatic Art.
