For 60 years the King David schools have played a major role in ensuring that Jewish children are deeply committed to their cultural heritage and identity.

Since 1994, the King David Schools' Foundation, under the auspices of the South African Board of Jewish Education, has secured funds to assist deserving Jewish children "reach for the stars" by offering scholarships and bursaries for an education of Jewish and secular excellence at one of the King David schools. However, we need the help of our alumni family in order to continue our work.

An example of one of our children in need is Ben*. Ben is a grade 9 learner with strong leadership potential and is very popular. His mom passed away some time ago and his dad was recently retrenched. It costs just under R65 000 per annum to educate one high school child at KD. If you can commit to a monthly debit order of a minimum of R180, or make a once-off donation at an amount of your choice, you will really be helping this child to receive a solid Jewish and secular education which will act as a springboard for his future.

Please note that we welcome all financial contributions, however large or small. As we are a registered non-profit organisation, NO: 005-644 NPO, your contribution to our cause qualifies for a tax certificate in terms of Section 18 (a) of the Tax act.
