The King David Schools' Foundation holds a number of special events throughout the year. One of the events that we hold annually is the The Samantha Amy Brest Endowment Fund brunch

The Samantha Amy Brest Endowment Fund was created in memory of Samantha Amy Brest a KDHSVP matriculant, who tragically passed away from Meningitis at the tender age of 19. Sam was an exceptional young lady who always gave a thought to those in need. She was also passionate about fashion. It was for this reason that her mom Felicite was inspired to create a fund that would perpetuate Sam's memory by continuing her passions. The Samantha Amy Brest Endowment Fund, under the auspices of the KDSF, raises funds annually to assist matric learners who cannot afford their matric dance.

Each year a brunch is hosted by the Brest family in their beautiful garden, and alumni gather to remember Sam, enjoy a morning of entertainment, and help needy matriculants enjoy a magnificent culmination to their high school careers.
