One of the highlights of 2013 will be the 1973 KDHS Linksfield reunion in Jerusalem from March 13 to 15 2013. The reunion will take place at Ramat Rachel, with Shabbat accommodation organized at Prima Royale. Planned tours include the Kotel Underground Tunnel tour, a tour of the newly redone Israeli Museum and the food cornucopia of Machane Yehuda. Dinner is planned near Alma in the old city. Guest speakers include Colonel Avital Leibovitch, the IDF Public Relations officer who was seen regular on the news recently with the problems in Gaza, Ze'ev Bileski, a member of the Knesset, Rabbi David Orlovsky; famous for his talk about Why be Jewish, and Reuven Hazan, an Israeli political scientist. It is also intended for some of the KDHS classmates to speak on items of their own special interest.
So far 39 people have said they will attend with 21 still considering. The countries represented so far are :

Dynamic Davidian breakfast with Professor Wayne Derman (KDHSL ’80)
The King David Schools’ Foundation is proud to announce that King David alumnus, Professor Wayne Derman (KDL’80) has agreed to be our next speaker at our upcoming donor thank-you breakfast on the 15th of March 2013, to be hosted at King David Linksfield High School. Professor Derman is the professor of sports medicine with UCT/Medical Research Council Research Unit for Exercise Science and Sport & Exercise Medicine, and was the Chief medical officer for the South African Paralympic team in London 2012. He is also an acclaimed speaker who has enthralled audiences the world over. Save the date, and look out for further details in our 2013 newsletters. All welcome!

The dynamic King David Schools’ Foundation management team of Elliot Wolf(Director) and Raelene Tradonsky(Director) will be travelling to the UK in London and Australia in May 2013. For those of you interested in reconnecting with old school mates, sharing memories of your school days at KD and meeting Elliot who will remind you of stories that you long forgotten (his memory, as anyone who has experienced first-hand will testify, is extraordinary), we would love to hear from you.
